I always liked a quote by Edith Eger: "The greatest prison that you'll ever live inside is the prison that you create in your mind." With that in mind, I have always been fascinated by the idea of one card trapped being able to find freedom in another prison. A prison of choice, in which we can't be totally free but we can choose where we want to be trapped. I don't know if I was thinking about this when I was creating this piece, but now, at a distance, it feels a lot closer to that feeling. Again, this is archival footage from the moment I conceived it. Raw, unedited, unpolished. Just a visual idea I can later play with.
